Celebrity gardener Charlie Dimmock sowed the seeds for panto fun when she visited Chesterfield.
The Ground Force star worked her magic - and charm - on the town, ahead of her role as a fairy in this year’s seasonal spectacular at the Pomegranate.
Charlie drew plenty of interest from passers-by during a photocall in the Crooked Spire churchyard on Wednesday, September 5.
She took time out to admire the handiwork of the Crooked Spire well dressing group which was petalling a picture of St George and the Dragon. “It is amazing,” she said.
Group leader Audrey Fretwell said: “We were hoping that she might have some big petals for us.”
Charlie will play Organic Fairy in Jack and the Beanstalk, which runs at the Pomegranate Theatre, Chesterfield, from December 7, 2012, until Sunday, January 6, 2013.
Panto chiefs are looking for young dancers to appear in the family-friendly show and will be holding auditions on Sunday, September 16, at the Pomegranate from 2pm. If you are 8-12 years old, under 4ft 10 ins tall and want to audtion, simply turn up to the theatre that afternoon.
