Starship enterprise

Gatepost Theatre Company present A Space Oddity

Gatepost Theatre Company present A Space Oddity

Prepare to go boldly where no theatre company has been before!

Join Captain Birk, Mr Plock, Spotty, Dr Groans and the crew of the Starship Guildhall Enterprise as they make all possible speed through space towards the Planet Hegg.

The planet is being “cooked” by the Clingfilms, led by the evil Cretin, and our intrepid heroes must rescue Princess Rellacinda and her sisters. However with Spotty at the controls anything could happen???

Add to this two excitable robots T42 and 24T and several other interesting characters including some baby Cretinis as well as rock ‘n roll music of the 60s and you have yourselves the trip of a lifetime!

Trouble is, Spotty may not be able to bring you back, but you will have to trust us on that one !

The production by Gatepost Theatre Company is a lighthearted take on Star Trek, which was a popular television series of the 60s.

Join the crew at the Guildhall Theatre, Derby, on Wednesday, July 11 to Saturday, July 14, at 7.30pm. There is also a matinee performance at 2.30pm on Saturday.

Tickets are priced at £9 for all evening performances with concessions available at £7 on Wednesday and Thursday.

Saturday matinee tickets are all priced at £7.

Tickets are available from Derby Live web-site or from the box office on 01332 255800.

* Gatepost Theatre Company is based at the Evergreen Centre, Loscoe, and draws its members primarily from Langley Mill, Heanor and Derby
