Bazaar. Stalls, raffles and refreshments will be available at a bazaar in St John the Baptist Church, Staveley, starting at 11am.

Santa’s visit. Father Christmas will be in his fairytale grotto at the Parish Centre, Stonegravels, Chesterfield, between 2pm and 4pm. Children will also be able to take part in making various crafts such as Christmas cards, crackers and various decorations. Refreshments will be available.

Craft demo. Elvaston Castle, 10am -3.30pm. Ask the experts about lime mortars, stonemasonry, traditional roofing, sash window restoration and Victorian tile restoration. Plus other paid-for activities. See www.heritageskillshub.org/events for details.

Food and drink fair. Hosted by Hartington’s School of Food with over 24 stalls of artisan food and drink at Dronfield Civic Hall in the Civic Centre, Dronfield, 10am till 3pm. Stallholders include: Seven Hills Bakery, Liberty Foods, Halls Home Produce, Greenside Deli, Muffin Topps and Dronfield based Heavenlies, Nonna’s pop up Italian Food and Drink Market with fresh biscuits, pasta, cheese, salami, wine and gift hampers for Christmas. Admission free.
