It’s pancake day - and how will you eat yours?
Will it be the good old-fashioned lemon and sugar combo, as favoured by 38 percent of people in Derby? Will you be swapping lemons for oranges like 21 percent or will you opt for American favourite, maple syrup as 8 percent of people will do?
A special pancake-making class in Derby today (Tuesday, February 12) will encourage the county’s residents to be a bit more adventurous with their toppings. How about black cherry filling, apple sauce and toffee and cheese and chives?
The class, at the Westfield Derby shopping centre, will also show shoppers how to make the perfect pancake, after a Westfield survey showed nearly 1 in 3 shoppers use packet mix to make their pancakes.
If you want to find out all there is to know about pancakes, check out the master class from 10am to 2pm on the Level 2 outside KRCS. Attendance is free and tickets are not required.
