WhiteMoor return with top new track

WhiteMoor

WhiteMoor

Derbyshire band WhiteMoor are back with their highly anticipated first single in over a year.

The indie rock five-piece have been working harder than ever recording the follow-up to their highly acclaimed debut album and are giving fans a taste of what to expect with ‘High Lights’, the lead single from the forthcoming record ‘Horizons’.

The new single, released this week, has been quickly climbing the iTunes download chart and it is accompanied by the band’s first ever official music video.

The track has already received rave reviews with Mercury prize judge Dean Jackson, describing it as “very good indeed” and “what we’ve come to expect from WhiteMoor who are one of the finest bands around.”

WhiteMoor formed in April 2009 from the remains of three of Derby’s best bands: Ejectorseat, You-V-Me and The Beau Peepshow.

Hailed as somewhat of a rogue on the mainstream indie scene, the band manage to capture the electric essence of The Killers while still holding down the dark atmospheric sounds of visionaries such as New Order and The Doors.

High Lights moves on the band’s unique, yet classic indie sound that is leading the quintet to stadiums and beyond.

WhiteMoor is set for a UK tour in the new year which will see the band bring its instantly appealing sounds to Chesterfield.
