DERBYSHIRE: Schools’ arena concert dates are rescheduled

Scores of schoolchildren who missed out on performing in concert at a showpiece arena because of snow have had their dates rescheduled.

Pupils from across the region were due to perform with the African Children’s Choir and Connie Talbot last week but only two of the four scheduled concerts went ahead because of the bad weather.

Children who were due to perform on Monday and Tuesday, January 21 and 22, have had their concerts put back to February 6 and 7 respectively.

Among the Derbyshire schools invited to perform in the Young Voices concerts were:

Darley Dale Primary School; St Joseph’s RC Primary School, Matlock; Carsington and Hopton CE Primary School; Tansley Primary School;Bakewell Methodist Junior School; Monyash CE Primary School; St Anne’s CE Primary School, Bakewell.

Ambergate Primary School; Swanwick Primary School; Riddings Junior School; Tibshelf Community School; South Wingffield Primary School; Whitecotes Primary School, Boythorpe, Chesterfield; Brockwell Junior School, Chesterfield; Abercrombie Community Primary School, Chesterfield; Temple Normanton Primary School; Grassmoor Primary School; Cutthorpe Primary School; Brimington Junior School; Norbriggs Primary School, Staveley; Clowne Junior School; Brockley Primary School, Shuttlewood and Bolsover CE Junior School.

Original tickets will be valid for the new dates.
