This year's Acoustic Festival of Britain which takes place on the Spring Bank Holiday Weekend, May 24-26, promises to be a star-studded occasion at Catton Hall Park, near Tamworth.
Artists at this year's event include Jethro Tull, Fairport Convention, Melanie, Marillion, Whitesnake originals Bernie Marsden and Neil Murray, Midge Ure, Donovan, Glenn Tilbrook of the Squeeze, Mike Peters, Jah Wobble and many many more.

The MTV un-plugged sessions from the 90's have led to a greater amount of seated concerts being performed by the better known rock and pop idols, and this event encapsulates the eclectic splendour of many of those very performers. Relaxed classics from the five decades of rock, folk, pop and punk music we never get tired of listening to.

There are three stages hosting over 60 artists in huge big tops and outdoor stages, a caravan site, campsite, real ale tents and the festive crafts associated to a music weekend, although this event has more middle aged spread and deck chairs than rasta hair or moshing. Exclusive posh loos too!!

  • Tickets are £32 for a day ticket (early bird prices available before April 30), for details visit www.acousticfestival.co.uk.
