Sliced Mushroom

With the imminent departure of two of the original members of Some Kinda Mushroom, the hunt is on to find a fourth fun-guy capable of stepping up into the Mushroom bunch.
Over the last three years, the band have been a regular feature on the live scene.
High points along the way have included winning the Derbyshire Young Band of the Year title in 2006, as well as coming runner up in the National Battle of the Bands Competition to play at the Pentrich Rock & Blues 2007 (Where singer Dom Gee-Burch won the 'Best Vocals/Frontman' Award.)
With their slimmed-down line-up, the band have also trimed their name to just SKM, with a stronger focus on pop/rock/sing-along original music.
Dom said: "SKM aim to make our voices heard about topics that really tug on their heart strings - good time rock 'n' roll!!!"
"Losing James (guitar) and Simon (bass) will be a loss to the band but the Some Kinda Mushroom story doesn't end there!" said lead guitarist Matt.
It's still not too late to catch the old Some Kinda Mushroom who will be playing several farewell dates right through to Jan 2009.
Dom added: "As a sign of respect to all the support we've recieved over the past three years, we want to give something back to the people who've kept us alive and kicking!"
