It's quite the norm these days for young people to take their 'gap year' between A-level and University. Not often that it impacts on the fortunes of a rock band though.
Dominic Gee-Burch, front-man for Derbyshire rock band 'Some Kinda Mushroom' decided that he'd take his time out with his girlfriend as she returned to Berlin to study for an extra year.
He did make sure however, that he could book enough economy flights to make regular trips home to gig with the 'Mushrooms' – just to keep their hand-in.
Now he's back and the band are itching to rock again on the local circuit and beef up their set-list with some new covers as well as new songs of their own/
Whilst away, Dom has been busy writing some new songs and exchanging notes with fellow band members so that they can collaborate - and they've a busy bank holiday weekend ahead.
