The Boardwalk has a renowned history of great bands gracing it's stage, and it seems that the great music is still alive in the centre of Sheffield.
Kill Chaos kick off proceedings with their metal/hardcore punk lashings that hint at The Gallows, but without the piercing vocals.

Cape of Good Hope, meanwhile, have a more 21st Century indie/synth-pop sound that captivates the audience.

But local heroes Mybe are the main attraction, and the room fills up with those who've come to see the band they remember, some to see the band they've become and others just there for a good night out.

Songs such as State of Emergency, from their forthcoming album, show how Mybe have progressed from the punk trio they once were to the musically matured, four piece band they are now.

They still have the raw edge they always had, but now there's just as much melody.

Stage presence isn't anything to worry these guys and, with songs from both the new album and their back-catalogue, there's plenty to keep the generations happy.

Coming back with a two-song encore of Catch 22 and You Always Bring Out the Blues, it's easy to see that Mybe are no longer just going (as they once wrote) from Monkeys to Morons – but are evolving from monkeys into music moguls.
