After dedicating a decade to Chesterfield blues rockers The Idle Hands, drummer Simon Evans is leaving the band to pursue other personal commitments.

Vocalist Phil Allen said: "This has been a difficult decision for Simon and is a great disappointment to us all, but we wish him well and need to assure everyone that the band will continue and will be fulfilling all bookings with Simon until his replacement is in place."

The Idle Hands have a full gigging calendar and are currently rehearsing tracks for their new CD - All Night Sinnin' - due for release later this year.

Drummers wishing to apply for position can contact the band via (01246) 279025 or philvox@hotmail.com or via the band's website at www.the-idle-hands.co.uk
