The full Download line-up is now in place with over 100 bands performing across the Main, Tuborg and Gibson Guitar stages.

Recently added are Greek melodic metallers Firewind, crazy punkers Rolo Tomassi, Nottingham grungers Lovvers, energetic thrashers Rise to Remain, hardcore death metallers Ted Maul and atmospheric shriekers Devil Sold His Soul.

It has been confirmed that joining Apocalyptica on stage on Sunday will be one of the more glamorous attendees of previous Download Festivals; Lacuna Coil's Christina Scabbia.

She will guest on the track 'SOS (Anything But Love)'. In other rock news, fans of Valient Thorr will be pleased to hear that Valient Himself's operation to donate a kidney to his father three weeks ago went very well and he is looking forward to performing at Download.

Much of the usual on-site activity across the arena will remain the same as previous years; the 'Mister' that was introduced last year to cool down hot festival goers makes a welcome return.

With the new site layout there are increased shaded areas from the trees, plus more benches providing seating in the arena. Plus market stalls, a fairground, a 5-a-side football pitch and a hair salon to cater for every whim and need!

Download hits Donington on June 13, 14 and 15.
