South Normanton Punk veterans Apocalypse Babys are on the look-out for a new drummer, after stixman of five years 'Gizza' has retired to spend more time with his family.
Applicants must be willing to travel, as the band are keen to play more shows in Europe.

Having recently recorded their seventh album Shotgun Diplomacy, vocalist Asterix told us: "The band have had offers to perform all over Europe so we need someone who is willing and able to travel!

"Formed in 1990, the band have earned themselves a reputation as one of the most consistent and respected bands in the UK punk scene, regularly playing alongside such punk luminaries as the UK Subs, Exploited and Discharge."

Asterix boasted: "We're definitely the area's longest-serving punk band; others may have formed before us - but we've never had a break!

"Hopefully there's still a few years left in us yet!"

Anyone interesting in taking up the drummer's stool can contact the band on 0780 4313 743 or via www.myspace.com/apocalypsebabysofficial
