Wood and Perkins grab hat-tricks

Dronfield Town Saturday Seniors team stormed into the Central Midlands League Cup quarter final with a 6-2 thrashing of Thorne Colliery.

The goals were scored by hat-trick heroes Dan Wood and John Perkins.

This victory sees Town travel to Easington to book a place in the semi finals.

Next week Town are back on the road in league action as they make the short trip to Kiveton Park for a 3pm kick off.

Dronfield U21s marched into the Tinsley Cup quarter finals with an 8-1 win over Sharrow United.

Dan Wood with a hat-trick, Mikey Shaw with a double and one each from Tom Collier, Richard Hirst and Liam Milner or Joe Butler. Both of the hungry defenders are claiming the goal.

Dronfield U18s beat Maltby 3-1 with goals from George Talbot two and Lewis Derrett with a tremendous strike. Will Barber in superb form for Town.

Dronfield U16s recovered from being 3-1 down to Ecclesall Rangers to take a share of the points in a 3-3 draw. Jack Elliot with two and one from Zuzu Tshuma.

Dronfield U15s continued their league title push with another outstanding attacking display of football.

The 3-0 victory over their closest rivals Junior Tykes demonstrated the quality throughout the team.

Goals scored by Jake Younger (2) and Tom Goddard. Conor Lindsey and Dan White dominant in midfield.

Corey Butcher-Simpson got the goal for Dronfield U10s who bravely went down 8-1 to high flying Wickersley.

Dronfield U9s completed a comfortable 5-1 win over Hillsborough Pumas in the cup, with goals from Edward Shaw, Gabriel Gisborne, Kyran Cosgrove 2 and Cameron Millward.

Dronfield U8s fought hard away against a tough Ecclesfield Spartans with Owen Parry, Leo Orr, Tyler Hague and Nathan Moss all on target and Josh Moat outstanding for Town.
