The offshore waters around Weymouth, as featured in the Olympics, have brought success to two young Derbyshire sailors.
Harvey Martin and Will Ward, both members of Ogston Sailing Club, performed brilliantly in the National Schools’ Sailing Association champions.
Harvey, from Alfreton, and Will, from Ashover, achieved their success in an RS Feva dingy.
The duo left all comers in their waketo become national champions.
They then progressed to the world championships which attracted 180 boats from 14 nations.
And the talented pair clinched 12th place overall and an amazing third in their age group. They are pictured.
