A victory, and favourable results elsewhere, meant Dronfield U9s are now league champions following a hard fought 4-2 win against a good Middlewood Rovers team.

Dronfield Town Saturday Seniors hosted a Central Midlands League bonanza game against high flying Thoresby CW.

A bumper crowd of 300 watched Town storm to a fully deserved 4-1 victory, taking them up to second place with three games in hand.

Town’s goals came from top scorer John Doran 2 and Andy Gange 2.

On Saturday, Town are back on the road in league cup quarter final action as they make the trip to Easington for a 3pm k/o

The young Saturday Seniors Reserves again showed their class and enormous potential, beating Radford 3-0. Callum Mawbey, Chas Bradwell and Scott Austin for Town.

The Saturday A team drew 2-2 with Hunter’s Bar thanks to a well worked goal, finished off by Ian Parkes, and a second from Rob Ireland.

Dronfield over 35s went five points clear at the top of the table with a 2-1 win over The Nags. Dale Thurnham and Paul Slowe for Town.

Dronfield U21s made it through to the semi final of the Tinsley Trophy thanks to a magnificent 3-2 win over seniors side Heeley FC. Johnny Pugh with two and one from Tom Collier.

Dronfield U18s were superb in deservedly reaching the final of the Brian Bradley Cup with a great 3-2 win over Sheff Wednesday Young Owls. Two from Jack Lambert and one from Stef Lantrau.

The U14s ran riot beating Chapeltown FC 6-0. Daniel Hubbard with a hat-trick, a double from Noah Staton and one from Harvey Ollerenshaw.

Heeley Boys got the better of Dronfield U10s as Town went down 7-4.

Daniel Rhodes, Jake Haycock-Simpson, Nathan Clarke and Kye Mills for Town.

Dronfield U8 did well against Norton Lees with cracking goals from Nathan Moss, Tyler Hague, George Thorpe, Owen Parry and Tyrese Bailey Green and fantastic defending by Dominic Bourne.
