Dronfield Town Saturday Seniors suffered their first league defeat since mid-September, as they were cruelly beaten away at Phoenix Sports.

With game level at 1-1, Town’s hearts were broken with Phoenix’s winner coming in the 95th minute of play.

This was a lacklustre performance from Town though , whose goal was scored by John Perkins.

Next week Town will look to get back on track as they host Kiveton Park at Stonelow with a 2pm k/o. All support welcome.

Dronfield’s Saturday Seniors Reserves went down 3-0 to top of the table Staveley in a game they never really looked like winning.

Dronfield’s Saturday B side battled hard but were beaten 7-3 by Whaley Bridge. Sam Bebbington with a hat-trick for Town.

Dronfield Over 35s beat Clowne 4-3 thanks to goals from Dale Thurnham, Paul McDermott, Shaun Gavaghan and Russell Cawthorne.

Dronfield U21s were superb in their clash with Sharrow United, and dominated from the start to run out 7-0 winners. Two each from Joe Butler, Mikey Shaw and Danny Wood and one from Liam Milner.

Dronfield U18s lost a hard fought game against Kiveton Park 2-1. Town’s goal coming from George Talbot. Goalkeeper Mark Hicken was in fine form.

Dronfield U16s beat SUJB 9-0. Elliot Allen Facey and Alex Winter both with hat-tricks and Joshua Malin, Zuzu Tshuma and Edgar Insingoma completing the scoring for a rampant Town.

Dronfield U15s secured promotion with an excellent display beating Chapeltown Colts 3-1. A wonderful all round team performance, capped with two goals from Danny White and one from Michael Burrows. Special mention for Conor Lindsey who gave an outstanding captain’s performance in midfield.

Dronfield U14s beat Sunnyside Juniors 4-1. Daniel Hubbard with two and Jack Garside and James Weston also finding the net.

Dronfield U13s battled really hard to defeat Wickersley 5-1. Lewis Currie with a double and Joe Morton, Jak Moss and Luke Gregory completing the scoring. Tyler Cooper outstanding in his new defensive role.

With Arran Bovill bossing midfield, Dronfield U12s were unlucky to not take at least a share of the points in their 3-2 defeat to Brinsworth Whitehill. Dominic Millward and Jake Oakes for Town.

Dronfield U10s marched to a 5-2 win over Worksop Boys. Jake Haycock-Smith with two and one each from Nathan Clarke, Jay Ingham and George Washbourne.

There was an outstanding performance by Dronfield U8s at Ecclesall Rangers with goals from Tyrese Bailey-Green, Nathan Moss and Tyler Hague and heroic efforts from Joshua Hale and Ravi Bhachoo.

Dronfield U12s Girls beat Maltby 10-0 with single strikes from Matilda Wilson and Lauren Hemmingway, doubles from Holly Beeby and Tilly Ironside and four from Caitlan Robinson including two brilliant individual efforts.
