Three holes in one at Stanedge

Three Stanedge Golf Club witnessed three holes in one in the same weekend.

Daphne Spencer, Carl Hayes and Steve Nicholson achieved every golfer’s dream when they aced their tee shots at the moorland course.

Daphne aced her tee shot on the 196-yard par-three 16th which helped her win the Alison David’s Salver with 35 stableford points on a count back from Jane Hardy.

Carl hit his hole in one on the 208-yard par-three seventh while Steve - with his first shot of the day - notched his on the 165-yard first hole.

Other top places in the Alison David’s competition were - 3: Mary Downfield 32; 4: Denise Guard 29; 5: Beverley Taylor 29.
