Chesterfield Athletics Club’s all-conquering U15 girls cross-country team has completed a hat-trick of titles, writes Frank Gorman.
The girls bagged the hat-trick when they were crowned best team in the Derbyshire Mini Cross-Country League.
This success followed on the girls also also taking the same awards in the North Midlands League and the Derbyshire Championships.
In addition, there were individual medals for Katie Lindley, Alex Ediker, Tasmin Boam, Emily Wass, Campbell Menzies and James Yapp after the final fixture was hosted by the Chesterfield club at Tupton Hall School.
U11G: Katie Lindley 2nd, (2nd overall), Isabelle Thompson 8th, 10 ran; U11B: Alex Ediker 3rd, (3rd overall), Callum Spencer-Barratt 4th, Harry Blount 9th, Oliver Ball 10th, Paul Bradley 11th, 11 ran; U13G: India Hollingsworth 7th, Julina Pickles 8th, 8 ran; U13B: Bailey Jones 4th, William Ediker 7th, Callum Attwater 10th, Nathan Hamilton 11th, 13 ran; U15G: Lindsey Morgan 2nd, Tasmin Boam 4th (2nd overall), Emily Wass 6th (3rd overall), Rebecca Herring 7th, Chloe Hall 8th, 8 ran; U15B: Campbell Menzies 2nd (2nd overall), James Yapp 4th (3eq overall), 4 ran.
Team placings: Full team 3rd overall. U11G: 2nd; U11B: 2nd; U13G: 6eq; U13B: 2nd; U15G: 1st; U15B: 2nd.
