Goodall joins Chesterfield FC board

Alan Goodall, new Chesterfield FC director

Alan Goodall has been appointed as a new director of Chesterfield FC.

Alan was group chairman of inspirepac, one of the club’s major sponsors, before retiring in 2011.

Inspirepac are a leading independent supplier of creative corrugated packaging boasting big-name clients such as Tesco, Walkers and Bacardi.

Under Mr.Goodall’s leadership Inspirepac were voted the top packaging company in the UK last year.

Alan was named the Derbyshire Times Business Personality of the Year in 2010.

A lifelong Chesterfield fan Mr Goodall expressed his delight at becoming a member of Chesterfield’s board of directors.

He said: “I’m very excited and I can’t wait for the season to get started.

“Along with my fellow supporters, I hope that it will be a very successful season for the club.

“My expertise lies in sales and marketing but I am willing to do anything that I can to help the club in its activities.

“The aim is to make us successful and put us where we belong, in the Championship.”
