Liam Cooper has extended his loan stay with the Spireites until January 5.
The extension will see Cooper stay at the club up to, and including, the game against Wycombe Wanderers at Adams Park in the New Year.
The 21-year-old, on loan from Hull City, has fast become a favourite amongst supporters after a number of impressive performances.
Cooper opened the scoring in the F.A Cup tie against Tranmere at the weekend, a match in which the hosts eventually ran out 2-1 winners.
