The Colts, now renamed the Exiles, last played together over 20 years ago, but an old team photo posted on social media has seen a wave of nostalgia sweep the globe, bringing ex-players from Europe, Asia and North America together again.

The reunion game is being played in celebration of the spirit and friendship that the game promotes.

This spirit also extends to the local business community with numerous companies stepping forward to help and support the event.

Support has come from Banner Jones Solicitors who have sponsored the Exiles kit, while the match ball is being sponsored by Elaine Quick. Mrs Quick’s husband Alan Quick passed away in 1998 and he was a lifelong fan of rugby having played for local team Sheffield Tigers as well as Rugby League team Featherstone.

The game kicks off at 2.30pm, on March 18, at the Chesterfield Panthers ground at Dunston Road, Chesterfield.

Friends, family and old acquaintances are more than welcome to come along and support both teams which co-incides with the final Six Nations Weekend.
