Rems draw with Pink Ladies before beating Chinley C 17 – 8

It was a close match between C Divisions Rems and Pink Ladies, and at break Rems had edged ahead leading 6 – 4.

In the second half Rosie Howitt for Pink Ladies made some good interceptions to help turn the game and the final score was 10 – 10.

Another game for Rems followed, this time against Chinley C. In this game Rems managed to take control and at the break had a lead of 9 – 5. Rems held on to their lead and there was no stopping the team’s shooters, who eventually won 17 – 8

Next was A Division Chinley A vs Lasses. Vicky Booth from Lasses controlled the game in the centre court helping her team to a half–time lead of 10 – 7.

Chinley A stepped up to the challenge in the second half with Emma helping her team win the second half, but Lasses’ early lead made sure they got the victory. Final score Lasses 19 Chinley A 17.

Finally came B Division league leaders Cobras vs Chinley. Cobras quickly established a lead and with Emma Fitzgerald controlling the game they went to the break leading 15 – 4. The second half continued at the same pace and despite a good effort from Anne–Marie Lomas of Chinley the final score was Cobras 30 Chinley 8.

On Sunday May 12 High Peak Netball held their annual Spa Shield Tournament at Chapel High School. Eleven teams entered and the final was between Ladybugs and Nouveaux, with Ladybugs winning the Spa Sheild. Group 2 winners were Taxal and Group 3 winners were Lasses.
