The release of the 2012 fixtures has revealed that Derbyshire will face Yorkshire in five days of first-class cricket at Chesterfield in July.
After starting the six-day festival at Queen’s Park with a match against the Unicorns on Sunday, July 15, Derbyshire will start a four day LV = County Championship match against Yorkshire on Wednesday, July 18 and a Clydesdale Bank 40 fixture against the same opposition on the following Sunday.
Derbyshire’s LV = County Championship campaign will get underway with the visit of Northamptonshire, starting Thursday, April 5.
The traditional Friends Life t20 clash versus Nottinghamshire Outlaws will take place on Friday, July 6.
The visit of Leicestershire Foxes will take place on the previous Friday, June 29.
As well as the previously announced two-day match versus South Africa on Friday and Saturday August 10 and 11, Derbyshire will play Australia A in a three-day fixture during the weekend of July 27, 28, 29.
