Queen’s Park gets ready to rumble!

The Spire Boxing Academy it set to serve up its latest helping of non-stop toe-to-toe action at Queen’s Park Sports Centre on Saturday.

Expect early holiday fireworks as talented north Derbyshire boxers take on fighters from around the country in superb 50-50 matchups.

National champion Roderick Smith looks to build on his fantastic winning start for Spire as he takes on unbeaten American Troy Williamson in a high quality middleweight bill topper.

In addition Derbyshire light welterweight champ Kristian Davey, Sam and Nathan Whitehead and Chesterfield England International Jamie Robinson are all in action.

Doors open 3pm and tickets cost £6 for U16s and £12 for adults.

First ring action will feature the ABA senior novice championships with Spire favourite Whirlwind Whitehead.

Meanwhile, Alfreton boxer Dale Miles created a big impression on his live TV contest at Sheffield when he beat French fighter Mihaite Mutu. This was Dale’s 12th contest and he remains unbeaten with nine of his wins coming inside the distance.

Dale produced the perfect punch in round six to bring the contest to an end.
