Oxcroft MW are now just four points behind division three leaders AFC Brampton with a game in hand after a Mark Proctor treble helped them to a 5-1 win over Ark Tavern.
There was late drama at Grouse Old Boys as Graeme Brook hit a late equalizer for the home side who appeared to be slipping to defeat to Brickmakers. Phil Emberton had earlier rifled in a thirty-five yard special for Grouse but goals from Mark Jones and Dale Beech appeared to have won it before Brooke’s late strike.
Three Horse Shoes hit the top of division four as Ryan Varley and Aiden Ordidge both scored twice in a 5-0 win over Midland Hotel. Dave Gilchrist also scored twice, this time for Royal Oak Brampton in a 5-2 win over Clowne Wanderers Reserves.
West Killamarsh Reserves stay in promotion contention after they beat local rivals Crown Inn 2-0, A Unwin and R Holmes with the goals.
Harleys were also victorious, their win coming against Pilsley MW, Hutchins, Fletcher and Deane with the goals.
Chesterfield Town hit top form to beat Hasland Wanderers 6-2, D Whylie with a hat-trick, C Pashley with a brace.
Highfield and Charlies Bar remain deadlocked at the top of the division five table as both recorded good wins. Leaders Highfield won 6-1 at Red Lion; J Wilkes with two of the winning goals, while second placed CB beat North Wingfield 2-0, Mark White and Tony Lunn with the goals.
Poolsbrook cruised to victory at Riverside Utd, Jack Bexton scoring four and Nathan Linacre two in an 8-1 success.
A much closer affair at Hunloke Arms was won 3-2 by visitors Devonshire. Alex Menzies scored both Hunloke goals but they were not enough as Paul Boswell,
Mark Alderson and Lewis McGuiness scored for the ‘Dev’. Black Swan also won, 2-0 at Chesterfield Arms, A Montague and M Woodhouse with the goals.
In six Dronfield Woodhouse recorded their 13th win of the season to move to within two points of leaders New Inn Newton, Paul Hollis, Lewis Naylor and an own goal beating Dronfield Town Reserves in the Dronfield derby.
There was also a derby game in Brimington were Butchers Arms met Brimington Club and a Darren Davies penalty early in the game won it for Butchers.
Bottom club Palterton Sporting were under the cosh at Cock and Magpie where Sam Locke hit four and Chris Newsome two as the hosts won 6-2. Barracuda picked up three points in a 3-1 victory over Hasland Community, Richard Smith, Craig Ritchie and Jonathan Machant with the goals.
Renishaw MW continue to set the pace in seven, Brampton Rovers Reserves the latest team to be beaten, this time 4-0, D Smith, R Spink, D Talbot and B Allberry with the goals.
Second-placed Britannia Reserves also recorded a good win, Jezz Mitchell scoring twice in a 5-1 victory over Angel. Dronfield Miners beat White Hart Spartans O Wood and L Gibbs scoring in a 2-1 win.
Table toppers Hopflower Utd are still favourites to win division eight following their 5-2 victory over North Wingfield MW, Grice scoring twice.
Mark Woods was on top form for Moonrakers as he hit four goals in a 5-3 win at Grassmoor Sports Reserves. Second from bottom White Swan Reserves won their third game of the season, 2-1 over Grouse, A Barton with both goals. Chesterfield Phoenix met Boot and Shoe and rose to the occasion to win 2-1, Frost and Bramall with their goals.
