Apperknowle made an impressive 249-7 with Phil Loughlin hitting a fine 125 not out, in Division Two of the Sheaf Sports Yorkshire and Derbyshire Cricket League.
Opponents Baslow were sent back for 114 with Apperknowle’s N Hibbert taking 5-27.
Weston Park restricted Bakewell to 122-8 (S Sanghvi 4-45, I Khajwal 4- 47), then J Mohanamurali hit 74 not out as Weston sauntered to a win by nine wickets.
In Division One, Hundall were bundled out for just 42 at Stocksbridge, who strolled to the win by nine wickets to cement their position in second in the table.
Sheffield Centralians were bowled out for 114 (Spence 46) and Holmesfield went on to win by seven wickets (Rosling 58).
At the lower end of Division Four, Sheffield Centralians II were bowled out for 101, the canny Andy Wood claiming 6-23. 42 from Grant Woolley saw Coal Aston III home by four wickets and a vital climb away from the four team relegation zone.
In Division Five, leaders Sheffield Civil Service II restricted Apperknowle III to 13-2 before play was abandoned.
Second placed Baslow II fared somewhat better. They dismissed Hallam IV for 132 (Paul Henstock 4-44) despite a battling 49 from Tom McKane before easing to a four wicket win.
Sheffield Collegiate V posted a useful 155-5 (B Jones 41) away at Hundall II, who came close at 146-7 (Richard Simpson 47, Stefan Woodward 4-44). Collegiate move into fifth spot, whilr Hundall drop to fourth.
Whittington Wanderers II ground their way to 100-8 at a sodden Brearley Park (Martin Somerton 4-31).
Hathersage II claimed a six wicket win in only their second completed game of the season thanks to an unbeaten 48 from Ben Drury.
