The Brampton Brewery ten-mile road race is set to take place on Sunday, August 28.
Organised by North Derbyshire running club, the race starts from Holmebrook Valley Park in Newbold, and there is a £100 prize for the winner of the men’s and ladies race.
The race, which starts at 10.30am, is a popular one on the road running calendar and attracts competitors from all over the country.
In addition to the big cash purses, there will be many other prizes in other categories and each finisher with receive commemorative shirt and a bottle Spire 10 beer, specially brewed for the occasion by Brampton Brewery.

If ten miles is a bit too much, the Brampton Manor two-mile fun run will start at 10.15am.
The fun run stays in Homebrook Valley Park. Entrants can run, walk or jog and it is open to everyone although children U10 must have a responsible adult with them. Turn up in fancy dress, there’s a prize for the best costume.
The fun run costs £3 to enter and all the entry fee goes to Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, the race charity.
