Nelson fires a six shot salvo

Travis Nelson was in great form scoring six goals as Chesterfield Town U9s won their three games.

They beat Brampton Rovers 4-1 and Millhouses twice, 7-1 and 12-1.

Other scorers were Jay Carr and Brandon Forester both netted four.

Bailey Herring bagged a treble while Daniel Brailsford and Kyle Bussey both scored twice and Oliver Bannister and Jack Jolley once each.

Five goals from Rio Topham and a hat-trick from Regan Millard helped Chesterfield Town U10s Mansfield to a 15-0 victory over Southwell City Lions in the Benevolent Cup.

Ben Kingham, Joe Millward and Sam Goodman each scored two with Finn Oakley also netting.

Town U9’s Sheffield played twice beating Anston Rangers 10-1 in the cup and Woodhouse Juniors 5-2.

Elliott Hall scored four times, Alex Needham 3, Keetan Smith and Thai McPhereson 2, Oliver Marshall, Damon Rosie, George Weaver and Ben Haynes one each.

Ben Haynes also scored four for Town U9s Rowsley as they beat Tibshelf Rovers 8-1. George Weaver and Oliver Marshall each got two.

Town U9s Whites Rowsley beat Tibshelf Athletic 5-0. Goals came from Travis Nelson 2, Ryan Boler, Culumrhys Collier and an own goal.

Town U10 Whites Mansfield beat Walesby 2-0. Reece Moseley and Jay Carr scored. Man of the match was defender Thomas Galley.

Town U10 Juniors Mansfield won 2-1 at Mansfield Boys. Joe Bramley and Ellis Moore scored the goals.

Town U10s Sheffield won 8-1 at Worksop Town. Ben Kingham scored two with Josh Wood, Josh Cotterill, Luke Waller, James Millington, Finn Oakley, Joe Millward each getting one each.

Town U11s Mansfield defeated Teversal 5-4 with goals from Jamie Sharman 2, Thomas Weaver, Luke Rawson and Sonny Webb.

Town U12s Rowsley saw off Leabrooks JFC Jaguars 3-2 with goals from Adam Rogers 2 and Joe Clarke. Man of the match was Sam Booker and player of the day Alex Ambler.

Town U12s Sheffield lost at home to Hoyland Town Magpies 4-2. Josh Ward and Luke Fox scored

Town U13s Sheffield played two matches, drawing 2-2 with Brinsworth Whitehill and losing 5-1 against Darfield.

James Beardow and man of the match Elliott Barker scored against Brinsworth while Josh Thorpe netted against Darfield.

A Tom Stevenson hat-trick helped Town U13s Rowsley to a 6-2 victory at Wirksworth Colts Albion. Other marksmen were Jason Froggatt 2 and Kieron Lord.

Town U14s Sheffield drew 2-2 at home to Wisewood. Curtis McLeish and Harry Denton scored Town’s goals with Curtis and Nathan Whitworth receiving match awards.

Town U16s lost 5-1 to Oxcroft United 5-1, Thomas Beebe scoring the consolation.

Town U18s Whites lost 4-3 at Wirksworth Colts Jets. Richard Stott, Rob Hepworth and Luke Walters scored Town’s goals.

Handley Wood U16s staged a great comeback to win 3-2 at Rawmarsh.

They trailed 2-0 at one stage but dug deep and ran out 3-2 winners.

Scorers for Handley Wood were Nathan Jessop, Tom Young and Jack Knight. Man of the match was Cameron Lambert.

Handley U15s were away at Sheffield Sixes losing 5-1.

Handley’s only goal was scored by Wade Harris. Man of the match was George Talbot.

Handley U14s entertained Redfearns at home winning 3-1.

George Hilditch netted two goals for Handley and Henry Pymm scored the other.

Handley U13s played at home against Ecclesall Rangers, and after going down during the first-half 1-0 made a great come back, winning 2-1.

Goal scorers were Tommy Aitken and Sammy Hawes. Man of the match was Callum Kinder.

Handley U11s entertained Greasborough Youth at home. Handley won the game by an impressive 8-3.

Goal scorers for Handley Wood were Oliver Pratt (2), man of the match Oliver Rodgers with a hat-trick, Nathan Howarth, Nick Fergioni and Daniel Riley (1).

Handley U9s just missed out to Beighton Falcons in a 13-goal thriller.

Scorers in the 7-6 defeat Callum Taylor (2), Bradley Beavers, William Hegarty, Luke Tomblin and Dylan Haertel.

Match awards went to Cameron Dovison and William Hegarty.

New Tupton Ivanoes drew 0-0 with Interski in a hard-fought game played by two well matched teams. Man of the match was Jack Burton.

Chesterfield Junior Blues U10 beat ADASC Falcons in the Mansfield Benevolent Cup by 16-0.

Domonic Millward and Finlay Hunter hit hat-tricks, Thomas Coe, Domonic Fitzpatrick, Dylan Abbott, Fraser Bowden got two each while Will Burrell and Callum Kendellen also scored.

Junior Blues U12s beat Millmoor Juniors 8-5.

Goal scorers were Jake Wallace 2, James Keenan and Warwick Wood 2 plus others from Liam Nutt and Joseph Pope.

Brampton Rovers U14s made a slow start at Heeley and let in two first-half goals.

But they stormed back in the second half and won 3-2.

Goal scorers were Josh Neale, Ashley Barker and Alfie Spencer.

Somersall Rangers U12s (Chad) beat Walesby U12 6-3.

Goal scorers were Sam Barlow 3, Jordan Wells 2 and Billy Whitehead 1.

Somersall Rangers U12s (Sheffield) continued their winning ways with a 6-0 victory over Maltby Miners.

Goal scorers were Alex Fletcher 2, Sam Barlow, Billy Whitehead, Will Tomlinson and Aaron Hill. Man of the match was Alex Wainwright.

Brimwood United U8s had Sam Jackson on target when they played Tibshelf.

Man of the match was birthday boy Thomas Elsey.

Brimwood U9s lost 2-1 against Wingerworth All Stars.

The scorer was Callum Grundy while match awards went to Ross Milines and Reece Wileman

Brimwood some good football and were very unlucky to lose.

Brimwood U14s lost out 3-1 against Brampton Rovers.

The consolation goal came from Cory Burton while the match award went to Liam Deane.

Brimwood U16s drew 1-1 with Wirksworth.

The goal came from Liam Brown while the man of the match was Nathan Wragg

It was a great performance from Brimwood as they finished with only nine men due to injuries.
