Nathan Bennett has gained selection to the Great Britain roller hockey squad.
And the 11-year-old player from Wingerworth is set to fly the flag when he jets out to California later this month for the Junior Olympics showdown.
A pupil at Hunloke Primary School, Nathan plays club roller hockey for national champions Hull who compete at the Simply Skate Arena in Rotherham.
He is one of their leading defence men and he also plays ice hockey for national champions Sheffield.
Nathan was born in Chesterfield before moving to Canada with his mum and dad Mandy and Neil when he was six.
There he played for Vancouver and represented the West Coast Warriors in San Jose.
On his return to England, Nathan continued with his in-line hockey and ice hockey.
He has excelled at club level and caught the eye of the Great Britain selectors when he attended training sessions at Skate Central in Sheffield.
The roller hockey extravaganza in Orange County, California, begins on Tuesday, June 30, until Sunday, July 10.
