Unbeaten MARLPOOL WHITE LION faced local rivals CORONATION CLUB in a game that could have been a banana skin for them.

However, there was to be no slip up as they maintained their title push with a comprehensive 8-3 victory margin.

The goals were knocked in by David Krupiak, Luke Meakin, Matt Britt (2), Matt Hunt (2), Richard Groves and Nick Scuffins.

Daz Thompson and Daniel Orme (2) made their mark for the well beaten visitors.

SHIRLAND MW faced a potentially difficult task when they travelled to meet an in-form DERBY ATHLETIC. They secured a 5-3 victory, though.

Andrew Spencer, Shaun Archbold, Jamie Morgan (2) and Adam Bellamy got the goals that move them into joint top spot.

Ross Webster, Kev Morrow and Matt Roberts replies were not enough for the home team.

The basement clash went the way of visitors CODNOR MINERS ARMS who got the better of AFC SOUTH NORMANTON thanks to a single Scott Swanwick strike.

Their task was eased when the home team had a player dismissed.

Second faced first in Alfreton Insurance Services Division Two action as HAYLOFT entertained AMBER ATHLETIC.

It was the visitors who emerged victorious to consolidate top position.

Kye Rogers, Matt Wilders (2), Craig Buxton and Aaron Wood were all on the score sheet as they triumphed 5-0.

An Adam Hassall penalty got RIPLEY WHITE LION off on the right foot and they went on to secure a 5-1 win over RAILWAY (Alfreton).

The other goals were courtesy of Glen Sulley 2, Matt Craig and the evergreen Ian Cope who rounded things off with a last minute bullet header.

HEANOR STAFF recorded a 2-1 away win at HILCOTE MW, while GALLOWS INN maintained their challenge in beating BOUNDARY ATHLETIC 3-1.

OUT OF TOWN stay top although they were made to work hard to overcome the challenge posed by BULLS HEAD.

There was no score at the interval and the deadlock was only broken in the final 15 minutes when the home team ground down their opponents and ran in three goals; their scorers Peter Hague, Robert Spencer and Mark Walker.

SEVEN STARS overcame ALLIANCE HEALTHCARE 3-0.

Martin, Tom Spencer and Craig Smith were the scorers.

However, the score line flattered the home side somewhat as the visitors spurned a couple of gilt-edged opportunities of their own.
