NORMAL service resumed at Buxton & High Peak Golf Club last weekend with two Winter League better-ball stableford competitions.
Saturday’s winners were Paul Clay and Denis Alleton with 46 points, ahead of Peter Cartledge and Ian Dobson (44 points), Warren Furness and Les Furness (43 points) and Peter Evans and Anthony Grindey (42 points).
Matthew Bailey and Les Furness, with a score of 44 points, won Sunday’s event, ahead of Elvyn Birch and Peter Bettley (42 points) and Paul Cheese and Nick Berry (41 points).
