Ambergate CC enjoyed a trouncing of opponents West Hallam when the two sides met in the Division Three of the Derbyshire County League.

Ambergate batted first at the Hurt Arms ground and reaches a useful total of 219.

Top scorer was Rob Heath who finished on 68 not out while Paul Thompson, pictured above in action, also enjoyed a good knock with a 63 total.

West Hallam were unable to challenge for victory as they were skittled for 43 after just 17.2 overs.

Paul Mason put in a superb bowling performance of 7-23. His excellent display also included the hat-trick.
