Matlock Cycling Club’s second successive Sheldon time-trial took place on Saturday on a cold but pleasant afternoon.

Chris Green made it two-from-two as he took a comfortable win from archrival Peter Colledge.

Green managed to dip under 14 minutes this time, finishing the tough hilly course in 13 minutes and 52 seconds – a 9 second improvement over last week.

Peter Colledge only managed a second faster than the previous week as he finished comfortably in second place on 14:17.

Paul Hodgkinson, held up in the previous week’s event by farm vehicles, took a well deserved third place – narrowly missing out on going under 15 minutes – with 15:09.
