In Division One of the InkXtra Chesterfield and District Midweek Cricket League, Morton batted first at Dronfield Woodhouse and reached a total of 142-7.

Top scorers were M Kentell 54, P VanRensburg 35 and E Williamson 13 not out.

Wicket takers for Dronfield Woodhouse were M Hayman 3-29, C Oldfield 2-27 and S Vessey 1-20.

When Dronfield batted they finished on 122-7 with M Dawson 38, D Drew 32, B Lambon 22 and T Wilson 16.

Best bowling figures for Morton were J Lomas 2-2, J Clarke 2-1,5 J Williamson 1-32 and P VanRensburg 1-40.

In Division Two, BALGO reached a total of 109-9 with J Burnett scoring 50 and A Marples 27.

Pick of the bowlers for Tupton Rugby Club were D Clarke 4-23, R Brown 3-6 and S Grocutt 1-25.

In reply Tupton scored 112-1 with A Jepson 49 not out and L Mantle 49 being their top scorers.

The only wicket taker for BALGO was S Turner who took 1-17.

The Knock Out Cup final will be staged at Glapwell on Tuesday, when Morton will face NFU.

On Monday, the Mini Cup final will take place at Coal Aston when Apperknowle will take on MGT.

Both games have a start time of 6pm.

Meanwhile, Holmewood are at the top of League One with 26 points while Coal Aston are second on 23.

Dronfield are propping up the rest at the bottom with five points.
