Eric Thornhill and Peter Yeomans have won the Stanedge Golf Club seniors open competition which was held in sunny conditions.
Their 43-point haul gave them the top prize and pushed Patrick Spencer and Glynn Watts into second spot by a single-point margin.
Third were Les Bacon and Ray Morton with 40 points while in fourth spot were Jim Carter and Tony Brownsword.
Other senior prize winners were: nearest pin at tenth hole - Ray Morton (Stanedge); nearest pin at 16th hole - D Moseley (Chesterfield); longest drive - P Short (Tapton).
A hot and humid evening did not prove helpful to Stanedge golfers who lost a friendly against Bakewell 3.5 to 2.5.
Players and scores were: Jim Carter and Alan Smith won 3/2; Norman Shaw and Les Bacon lost by 1 hole; Guy Freeland and Peter Jackson lost 1 hole; Stuart Harris and Tim Clark lost 3/2; Alan Hinchcliffe and Doug Cousins won 4/3; Stephen Hockey and Roger Thorley halved match.
