Jane clinches title hat-trick

Chesterfield-based dressage rider Jane Green shone throughout the last winter regional of the year at Willerby Hill, North Yorkshire, winning three classes on Theresa Stokes’ Dutch gelding Valentime.

The eight year old horse was bought for Jane to compete as a four-year-old and helped her clinch the medium open, advanced medium open and advanced medium freestyle titles.

“I’m very lucky,” Jane explained. “Theresa and her husband bought Valentime with the intention of me riding him and he’s the best horse I’ve ever had. He really suits me, we are a real pair and if I was to describe my perfect horse, it would be him!”

The pair have been undefeated in eight classes since November, 2010, from medium to advanced level and Jane, who has competed at grand prix on previous rides, has high hopes for her ‘horse of a lifetime’.

Jane and Valentime are now preparing to contend the Albion Medium Open, British Horse Feeds Advanced Medium Open and Nupafeed Advanced Medium Music Freestyle at the national NAF Five Star Winter Dressage Championships at Hartpury Arena, Gloucestershire in April.
