The Junior Captain’s Day at Chesterfield Golf Club was a well-supported Stableford competition.
The winners with 41 points was James Wodsworth while one point adrift in second spot was Oliver Slaney.
Placed third with 34 points was Josh Ashton, a visitor from Tapton while nearest the pin on the eighth hole was Sam Barker.
Junior captain James Hewitt gave a good vote of thanks to all who helped organise the day and there was praise for theway the junior players conducted themselves.

Lucas Davs was the division on winner of the Wednesday Medal competition.
His score of gross 73 nett 69 was sufficient to edge Adam Weaver gross 80 nett 71 into the runner-up position.
The division two victor was Stuart James gross 79 nett 66, who took the top prize from runner up Peter Grimwade gross 83 nett 68.
Taking the honours in division three was Roger Collis gross 93 nett 74, one stroke ahead of runner up John Pople gross 92 nett 75.
The Ladies Bronze Match saw an away win for Chesterfield which takes them through to the semi-finals of the competition. The win came at Shirland and Chesterfield won 3 1/2 to 1 1/2.
In the Men’s Vets Cup, the winner was Bob Wilde gross 76 nett 66. Tailing him into second place was Peter Jacques gross 89 nett 68.
John Witham, with a score of four, was thew winner in the Swanwick Bogey competition. Runner up was Anthony Walmsley with two.
