Arrows 86, Birmingham Athletic 61
Steven Hodge hit a massive 39 points as the Killamarsh-based Arrows recorded a second consecutive win this time to send Birmingham to the foot of the table.
The Arrows once again shone in the rebounding as led by Semi Eboigbe’s 16, Andrew Purnell’s 15 and Sam Spare’s 13 the Arrows denied their opponents any second chance opportunities on their way to a 86-61 victory.
Hodge continued to pour in shots from beyond the arc connecting with 8/23 attempts while Semi Eboigbe made key baskets and dominated the rebounds as the Arrows moved away to record a significant triumph.
Andrew Purnell had his best game of the season with 15 rebounds and six points while Lewis Heenen and Svetaslav Aleksandrov made an impression with eight and nine respectively. The Arrows finally showed improved form at the free throw line hitting an improved 67 per cent of their attempts.
Hodge’s 39 follows the 29 of last week in the win over London United and shows that the likeable guard can score with the best in the division. The Arrows have struggled with injury and illness for much of the season but have shown great spirit and perseverance.

York Vikings 42 Arrows U18 71
The Arrows remained in contention for the divisional title with a strong away showing to defeat the York Vikings by 42-71.
The Arrows have two games left both against York College with the home game this coming Saturday at 3pm Killamarsh SC.
