Staveley Miners Welfare suffered a third consecutive defeat in the NCEL Premier following a 3-0 defeat at home to Garforth Town.

Mark Simpson opened the scoring just before the break on Wednesday night for the away side who won at Heanor Town the previous week.

Luke Mangham doubled the visitors’ advantage on 77 minutes before Simpson got his second of the night on the stroke of full time.

Staveley travel to Parkgate on Saturday (April 4) ahead of next week’s eagerly anticipated League Cup clash with rivals AFC Mansfield.
