Chesterfield slipped to a third consecutive defeat in the space of a week, this time at home to Swindon Town on Tuesday night.
A thunderous Yaser Kasim free-kick and Nathan Byrne’s powerful drive had put the Robins ahead at the break at the Proact Stadium.
Jon Obika missed two glorious chances for Swindon before his replacement Andy Williams got a bit of luck and tapped in to an open net.
It is now one win in nine for the Spireites who will hope for a return to winning ways on Saturday when they face struggling Yeovil Town.
