Carl White got Red Lion back into the game when he fired in off the post.

A penalty on 50 minutes gave Rovers the chance to make it 3-1 but Bayne put it over.

Just after the hour mark Red Lion sensed the comeback was on when White got his second from the penalty spot and on 68 minutes they took the lead when Nathan Linacre broke through and slotted past Charlie Scattergood.

Stephen Siddall headed to level for Brampton and three minutes later Crowder rounded Brear and found the empty net to allow Brampton to retake the lead.

Red Lion’s Linacre was then denied by an excellent save from Scattergood.

In the fourth minute of stoppage time Brampton put this game to bed and Red Lion’s title aspirations drifted away when Perkins grabbed a fifth goal.
