Alfreton Town FC has appointed a chief executive officer ahead of the 2014/15 Conference Premier season.
Paul Wetton is now responsible for the running of the club. As the Reds head into a fourth successive season at the non-league pyramid’s top table, they are looking to Wetton to improve matters away from the pitch as they seek to improve the club financially.
Wetton, 34, of Belper, has previously worked as a scout and recruitment officer for Sheffield Wednesday FC, a goalkeeping coach for Nottingham Forest Ladies and coached for the University of Nottingham. He worked as a sports management consultant and studied law. Alfreton Town FC has also been crowned Conference Premier Division Community Club of the year for 2014.
