Another hat-trick by prolific striker Josh Parfitt propelled Clay Cross Town to their 11th win on the trot at the top of the Central Midlands League's North Division.

Clay Cross brushed aside struggling visitors Dinnington Town 6-2 to continue their flawless start to the season and send them ten points clear of their nearest rivals in the table, Retford.

A 30-yard strike by captain Ryan Ordidge opened the floodgates in the 14th minute before Callam Lytham’s ingenuity doubled the lead and Parfitt slotted home his first just after the half-hour mark.

A tap-in from Parfitt made it 4-0 at the break and although Dinnington opened and closed the second half with goals from Danny Barnsley and a penalty from Ryan Hall, Clay Cross added two more in between. Aiden Ordidge netted from an acute angle and Parfitt completed his treble in style.
