With substitution Jake Ballinger helping himself to four goals, Bolsover romped to an 11-2 victory to make it nine wins and 62 goals from their 12 league matches so far. Their goal-difference is already plus-49.

Struggling Dinnington went into the match with only one win from their opening seven games, six of which they had lost. And they were soon under the cosh, falling behind as early as the eighth minute after a mazy run by Tom Robley.

The visitors were gifted a lifeline moments later when an own goal by Lewis Warwick brought them level. But Bolsover were firmly in control and they spurned several chances before Josh Parfitt finally found the net again with a half-volley.

The score remained 2-1 at the interval and plucky Dinnington even levelled again ten minutes into the second half when a rare break resulted in a cross that found Kirk Bradshaw, who netted.

But that was the wake-up call Bolsover needed. From then on, the hosts ran riot, adding nine more goals and still squandering several gilt-edged chances.

The floodgates were opened by Parfitt, who scored his second of the game, although it should have been his seventh or eighth! But Ballinger was the man to make most hay as he struck four times after being sent into the fray from the bench.

Another sub, Adam Barratt, also made the scoresheet, as did Josh Scully and Adam Kimberley, while Warwick made amends for his clanger by scoring at the right end too.

The victory kept Bolsover at the head of the table by one point from Appleby Frodingham, who won 6-1 at Phoenix and also have two matches in hand.

Third-placed Clay Cross Town have three games in hand, but trail their local-derby rivals by seven points.

Bolsover take a break from league action this weekend before returning on Saturday, November 5 when they will be hoping to create their own brand of fireworks away to Tideswell United.

Big dates on the horizon include a trip to Appleby Frodingham just before Christmas, on Saturday, December 17. Having already beaten Clay Cross 5-1, they are not due to take them on again until April.
