Liverpool team of legends set to appear in Buxton

Buxton are set to entertain a Liverpool FC Legends side in pre-season at the Silverlands.

Liverpool's visit is set to bring a big crowd to the Silverlands - just as a Manchester United Legends side did back in 2013.

Former Reds’ defender Phil Neal is bringing a selected group of former Anfield stars to face the Bucks on Sunday, July 19.

Although details are minimal at this stage, the game is expected to attract a large crowd as was the case two years ago when the Bucks faced a Manchester United side of legends.

Neal, aged 64, made over 450 appearances for the Merseyside giants and is expected to bring some familiar faces with him for the exhibition game.
