Junior football: Bailey and Ewan shine for the U11s

Brimwood United U11s beat Tibshelf Community Athletic 7-1 with Ewan Gallagher (3), Bailey Sallows (2), Ross Milnes and one OG.

The U10s beat Espial 3-2 in the cup with Sam Jakson (2) and Conner Bowler scoring.

The U9s played Barlborough Blues in a cup game with Harry Abbot and Thomas Elsey scoring. Man of the match Ross Higginbottom scored twice.

Dronfield Town U12s beat Middlewood Rovers 2-0 with Ellis Mitchell and Nathan Clarke scoring in the first half.

An under strength U16s Girls side went down 2-1 at Hillsborough Pumas in a game they dominated but failed to capitalise on. Ellie Bates scored her first goal for the team, Becky Howell was outstanding in defence.

The U12s Girls recorded their fourth league win in a row against Steel City Wanderers at Gosforth Fields. Goals from Emily Barker, Freya Brooks and Emily Furniss give the girls a well deserved 3-0 victory.

Brampton Rovers U16s Boys had a well earned 2-1 win over Aston Swallownest to progress through to the next round of the league cup.

Goal scorers were Alex Sanderson and Joe Hague with John Richard being named man of the match.

Rovers U16s Rowsley came back from 1-0 down for the second week running to win 3-2 away at Matlock Rangers. Josh Adams (2) and Bradley Richardson were the scorers with the man of the match award being shared between Oliver Brown and Ash Hollis.

New Tupton Ivanhoe U11s won 7-1 against Kirkby Community. Goals from Liam Varley, Callum Barnett, Reece Reddish, Harley Bourne (2) and Peter Lacey(2). Man of the match Reece Reddish.

AFC Dronfield U18s beat Staveley 3-1. The Rowsley side hit North Wingfield Colts for six with Bradley Ankers (2), Jake Crooks (2), Jordan Holden and Tom Miles scoring. Colts replied with two.

The U16s beat Worksop Boys 4-1, Will Beaumont (2), Jack Bird and an OG. The U14s beat Stocksbridge Park Steels 4-3 with Cameron Charlesworth (2), Conner Baxter, William Roberts scoring.

The U12s lost to their age group opponents 2-1, Tim Clark scoring. The U11s beat Anston Rangers 3-1 with Cameron Leavett (2) and Jay Nicholson scoring.
