Shwan Jalal 9

Made three outstanding saves in the second-half at 0-1 and took the pressure off the defence by claiming crosses and set-pieces. A top performance.

Jordan Cropper 8

Eastleigh 0 v 2 Chesterfield.Eastleigh 0 v 2 Chesterfield.
Eastleigh 0 v 2 Chesterfield.

Played at right wing-back on his debut after signing on loan from Burnley. Got up and down the flank and stuck to his duties well. Solid and steady,

Jamie Sharman 7

Made his first start of the season in a back three. Faced a difficult task keeping strikers James Alabi and Tyrone Barnett quiet. Subbed midway through the second-half. Did not let himself down.

Will Evans 8

Made some superb blocks and tackles, especially one at the end from Scrimshaw. Getting back to the form what we saw last season.

Haydn Hollis 8

A solid display from the centre-half. Barely missed anything. Cleared his lines well and put his body on the line.

David Buchanan 8

Got forward at every opportunity to deliver crosses into the box in the first-half. Defensively sound in the second-half.

Sam Wedgbury 7

Battled well and certainly put himself about. Does not look quite up to 100 per cent fitness yet. Subbed midway in second-half for Mandeville.

Jonathan Smith 8

Showed lots of energy and looked to join in counter attacks. Scored a great goal from the edge of the box to make it 0-2. Two goals in two games for him.

Curtis Weston 8

Kept possession for the Spireites and things ticking over in midfield. Never stopped working.

Tom Denton 8

Came in for the suspended Mike Fondop. Helped clear a number of set-pieces throughout the game and scored the opener with a header from Scott Boden's cross on 54 mins.

Scott Boden 8
