South Normanton Athletic moved up to second in the East Midlands Counties League Premier with a 2-0 win over rivals Kimberely Miners Welfare.
A brace from Sam Sims saw South Normanton home and to within three points table toppers St Andrews with two games in hand over the league leaders.
Rob Spencer threatened early while Steve Smith made a crucial save at the other end to keep it level before South Normanton took the lead.
A long throw from Danny Roberts found Sims and the midfielder directed a header in to the bottom corner of the net to give the hosts a half time lead.
A second soon followed after the break when second half substitute Ant Fay crossed for Sims on the edge of the 18 yard box to strike in to the net.
