Dronfield Town built on their morale boosting 7-1 win at fellow strugglers Lincoln Moorlands Railway with a goalless draw at Penistone Church on Saturday.
A battling performance from the north Derbyshire outfit saw them hold a Penistone side camped in mid-table in NCEL Division One to a 0-0 draw.
The point sees Dronfield switch places with Lincoln towards the foot of the table, as Town climb up to third from bottom with games in hand over their rivals.
Dronfield hosted Bottesford Town at Stonelow Playing Fields last night (Wednesday, February 18) and entertain Pontefract Collieries on Saturday.
Town have a hectic March ahead of them with seven out of their eight scheduled league matches at home and five of the seven in April are also at Stonelow.
Elsewhere in the club, the U13s Girls played their first game in four weeks last week and ran out 2-0 winners away at Shaw Lane.
A dominant first half brought no reward but the breakthrough finally came midway through the second half with two quick goals from Olivia Bee Dixon and Emily Barker.
This was followed by a superb 5-4 win over a hard working Whiston Wildcats side with the very much in form Freya Brooks notching a second half hat-trick.
Town went 2-0 up in the first half with goals from Hannah Richards and Emily Barker. But Whiston fought back to take a 4-3 lead midway through the second. Freya got Town back level before hitting the Town winner in injury time.
